Riedel acquiert la société de transmission et communication Tele Comm Sportservice AG

Riedel renforce ainsi son positionnement dans le secteur des transmissions et des services liés aux captations sportives.

[Eng.] Riedel Communications, provider of pioneering real-time video, audio, data, and communications networks, today announced the acquisition of the Swiss communications specialist Tele Comm Sportservice AG. For more than two decades, Tele Comm Sportservice AG has been a world-leading provider of communications solutions for temporary and permanent installations at live events. As an official International Ski Federation partner, the company specializes in supporting international ski competitions and other winter sports events.

Riedel Communications now holds 100 percent of Tele Comm Sportservice AG shares. With this key acquisition, Riedel Communications continues its growth path and becomes the largest provider of wired and wireless intercom solutions in the Swiss market. At the same time, the deal will enable Riedel Communications to extend its involvement in international winter sports.

Juke Box limited a fermé définitivement ses portes

Après 20 ans d’existence, l’importateur-distributeur nord-parisien, installé à Saint-Denis (93210), spécialiste des matériels audio professionnel (Eventide, Solid State Logic, Ruper Neve Designs…), a été déclaré le 14 janvier dernier en liquidation judiciaire par le Tribunal de Commerce de Bobigny. Malgré une diversification commerciale intelligente et un catalogue de marques renommées dominé par des solutions de traitement audio, la société fondée par l’ingénieur du son Jean-Baptiste Lierre a souffert de la crispation économique du secteur depuis 2009 et des difficultés à atteindre depuis son point d’équilibre. Le changement de stratégie de distribution de certaines marques au catalogue de Juke Box Ltd a accentué la dégradation financière de l’entreprise qui n’a pas eu d’autre choix que de clôturer définitivement son activité à la mi-janvier. Dans une lettre adressée à l’ensemble de ses partenaires (voir le lien dessous), Jean-Baptiste Lierre explique avec grande dignité les raisons qui ont conduit à cette triste situation.

Euro Media France restitue le son de Rising Star sur M6

Le producteur d’émissions télé Studio 89 (Groupe M6) s’est installé sur le plateau 5 des Studios de Paris (Cité du cinéma, La Plaine Saint-Denis) pour son programme de télé-crochet Rising Star diffusée en direct sur M6 depuis le 26 septembre. Une première pour ce plateau de 2068 m² qui n’avait encore jamais accueilli d’émission de flux en public. Studio 89 et M6 ont confié à Euro Media France (EMF) la maîtrise d’œuvre technique de Rising Star, en particulier dans le choix de l’ambiance sonore. Sous la supervision de l’ingénieur du son Gwenaël Hervochon, les équipes d’EMF ont opté pour une captation entièrement numérique de la musique, du talk, des ambiances ainsi qu’une intercom… numérique. Parmi les autres intervenants sur le dispositif sonore, la société Yasta (Benoit Gilg) était chargée de la captation « musique » en numérique. Dushow installait la sonorisation du plateau et de la régie retour musiciens et  candidats. Tapages a fournit les micros HF Sennheiser série 9000 ainsi que les micros  numériques pour la captation des ambiances. Euro Media France a fait appel pour la captation des instruments et des ambiances aux micros numériques de Neumann et Sennheiser compatibles AES42.

Pour la partie chant, les micros numériques HF Serie 9000 de Sennheiser offraient une plus grande dynamique avec un degré supplémentaire dans la clarté du son et la fidélité de reproduction des tessitures. La numérisation était réalisée au plus près de la source, améliorant ainsi les performances des microphones. L’ensemble des sources audio du système était également intégré dans une boucle Optocore et pas moins de 4 consoles audio reliées à ce réseau (la console SSL C100HDS du car-régie XL1, la console premix musique Lawo 56, la console retour musicien DiGico SD7, et la console façade sonorisation DiGico SD10.

À la demande de M6, EMF réalisait une captation sonore en surround codée en Dolby-E, une première pour ce genre de programme. Le son multicanal 5.1 permet de placer le téléspectateur (équipé du bon matériel) au cœur de l’ambiance sonore comme s’il était dans un concert en Live.

Aujourd’hui, M6 reste en France la seule chaine historique sans abonnement à utiliser la technologie 5.1 en diffusion. Aaton-Digital, Cantar-X3 and more @ IBC 2014 in Amsterdam

Aaton-Digital will show the new 24 track Cantar-X3 recorder and new Aaton-Digital 5” Oled monitor at IBC 2014 (12-16 september) on the Aaton-Digital /Transvideo stand 11.F31. Deliveries will begin for existing orders this fall. New orders will deliver Q1 in the new year.

The Aaton-Digital Cantar-X3 design team, many of whom were involved in the design of the Cantar –X1recorder and the legendary Aaton film cameras. Also present are some colleagues of the French DP association l’AFC, and the sound engineers association L’AFSI.

Also on show will be the new Aaton-Digital 5” Oled monitor which is multi purpose but can be used with the Cantar-X3 recorder as a video source monitor. It is the Aaton version of the new Transvideo StarliteHD monitor.
For the last ten years, the Aaton Cantar-X2 has been the ultimate benchmark for audio field recording.

Today, a totally new machine, the Aaton Cantar- X3 has been designed by the same team that created its predecessor. It combines the ergonomics of the X2 and its outstanding microphone preamplifiers which have been redesigned to improve filtering possibilities and reduce further the noise level, also new functionalities such as an optional Audinate’s Dante IP networking, while additional features are accessed through an improved human interface with new display based menu control. Sister company Transvideo has designed the display.

Its avionics aluminium machined housing, water and dust-proof with a durable coating coming from military industry, together with an exceptionally long run time makes it the perfect portable tool for outside location work. Extended linear faders, smooth rotary knobs and silent switches are provided for a practical working environment.

External devices can be simultaneously linked to the Cantar X3 through widely used audio and computer connectors adding new capabilities for this machine to be scalable for the next twenty years.
